Personalized Itineraries
A non refundable fee of $75.00 is charged for a customized itinerary. This fee is applied to your trip if you travel with Costa RIca Dive.

There is a change fee of US$75.00. This fee is in addition to any cost or penalty imposed by the companies affected by the newly requested or cancelled services. It will help to cover our costs for the time invested in making these changes.
No Show
There will be no refund for last minute cancellations.

Costs of obtaining passports, visas or tourist cards; excess baggage fees; personal expenses such as room service, beverages and laundry; gratuities to tour escort, guides or driver; international airfare and airport departure taxes; excess of the passenger; sightseeing or meals not specified in the itinerary; personal insurance coverage (strongly recommended).
The pricing does not include tipping (guides, drivers, cowboys, bellboys, river guides, etc.) Many of the various people that will help you during your stay will greatly appreciate any consideration that you can afford to give them.

| PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION |
PAYMENT PROCEDURE
A deposit of 1/3 of the total price is required in order to secure your reservation. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of this deposit. Final balance is due 60 days prior to your departure.
CANCELLATION FEE & INSURANCE
A Cancellation fee of 10% from the deposit is charged for all cancellations more than 1 year before the trip. A cancellation fee of 10% from the total trip price is charge for all cancellations made between 1 year and 6 months before the trip. All deposits received are non-refundable from 180 days prior to departure.
We recommend the purchase of a short-term cancellation insurance policy in case of unexpected changes in your plans. Accident, medical and baggage insurance are also recommended.
DIVE INSURANCE
All divers must have valid Divers Alert Network or DiveAssure (or similar) insurance designed to evacuate divers in the event of an accident
Coco Island , Cano Island are a very remote area and the cost involved in evacuating a diver is very high. The nearest recompression chamber is located in Panama City nearly two days away. The D.A.N or Dive Assure policy is a vital protection to have.

Payment: Hotel deposits are required upon request 90 days prior to arrival. 50% payment, less deposits, is required 60 days prior to the schedules trip, with the balance due 30 days prior to the trip.
CANCELLATION POLICY
If cancellation is made 60 days or more prior to the scheduled trip, a full refund (less deposit guarantees at hotels, less a U.S. $100.000 handling fee) is made. The entire 50% deposit is forfeited if cancellation is received in our offices 30 days prior to the trip. If cancellation is received 14 days or less prior to the trip, the full value is forfeited.

(its owners, associates, agents and employees) give notice that they assume no responsibility for injury, loss or damage to person or property in connection with any service resulting directly or indirectly from acts of GOD, detention, annoyance, delays and expenses arising from quarantine, strikes, thefts, pilferage, force majored, failure of any means of conveyance to arrive or depart as scheduled, civil disturbances, government restrictions or regulations, discrepancies or change in transit or hotel service over which it has not control.

Is not responsible for loss of life, personal injury, cancellations, delays, overbooking, loss or damage of baggage and /or loss of services as a result of the same caused by any domestic flights within Costa Rica. For an additional charge, when advisable, charter flights may be arranged through COSTA RICA DIVE.
Should clients decide to book a charter flight, COSTA RICA DIVE will not assume responsibility for cancellations, delays, over bookings, any loss of services from the same. COSTA RICA DIVE reserves the right to adjust the U.S dollar prices without notice, to reflect fluctuations in the Foreign Exchange Markets. COSTA RICA DIVE also reserves the right to withdraw a tour or any part of it, to make such alterations in the itinerary as it deems necessary for the comfort or well-being of the participants and to pass on to tours members any expenditure or losses caused by delays or events beyond its control.
With advance deposit to COSTA RICA DIVE or any of its agents, the depositor therefore agrees to be bound by the above recited terms and conditions.
We reserve the right to make changes and/or substitutions in the itinerary where deemed necessary. For those trips and tours where COSTA RICA DIVE is not the sole supplier, we act solely as agents and as such as assume no responsibility should any supplier fail to provide the service contracted. Baggage is at owners risk entirely. No refund can be made unused hotel rooms, dive, meals, sight-seeing trips or tours unless arrangements are made at time of booking

Inform you that during a stay in Costa Rica, our Company wishes to make it absolutely clear that if guests choose to use our services, they will do so at their own risk, thus. In case of an accident, the Company shall not assume any responsibility and will not, therefore, cover any medical expenses or any other expenses nor will they be liable for paying any kind of indemnification or compensation.
INSURANCE
Costa Rica has socialized medicine. We do suggest that you have your own insurance current, have trip insurance and encourage all divers to have DAN Master Insurance plans.
Note:
All prices listed are per person based on double occupancy. All tours have a minimum of two participants to operate. Some tours although do require a higher minimum.

About the guides
COSTA RICA DIVE,INC is a full-service tour operator. We are not dive shop or a hotel farming out an occasional tour. This is our 23rd year scuba diving in Costa Rica and adventure land tour. We were licensed and insured. All our tour guides are English-speaking and many are graduate biologist, naturalist or ornithologists. Our tours are privately escorted in a private vehicle and go with a few as two persons.
Invariably, when we ask our clients what one thing stands out most about their vacation, the reply is “the guide”. Guides take the hassle out of travel. They provide education, insight into the host culture, and in many cases a lifetime friendship.
